up of hand crafted clocks made up of various sustainable woods from around the
world and a selection of very nice insert quartz clock movements offering
watchmaker's accuracy and dependability.
A homemade wood clock can spruce
up your living area, while giving you something to show
off to visitors.
The most common, versatile and oldest material that is
used for making furniture is wood. Almost all varieties
of furniture can be made of wood. Wood is a soft
material and can be easily shaped. The finish obtained
is very good and occasional polishing can make it look
like new at all times. It can be carved easily and
beautiful objects can be created. Carved living room
furniture can give a royal look to your living room.
Wooden furniture can be cheap or very costly depending
on the type of wood and carving work involved. Furniture
made of certain types of wood like oak, teak and
rosewood are very durable and so, are costlier than
others. Wooden furniture is best suited to homes as
these provide elegance and lifelong service.
You can build a traditional clock very simply and at very little cost. There are
thousands of craft outlets selling clock making parts and more importantly clock
inserts. No special skills or knowledge is needed, only patience and common
sense. Please note that when ordering
the colour and markings may differ in
appearance slightly in your finished clock from the one's shown in the photo's
depending on wood used at the time they are made. Each item is handcrafted
individually, so there will always be slight variances expected especially if ordering more
than one item. The sizes listed are approximate. They may be a couple of
millimetres taller, longer, wider or little shorter, etc.
